I was encouraged to take the position of cartoonist by my art teacher at the time, and though challenging, it was a worthwhile experience. I owe a lot of thanks to the publication’s teacher-advisor, who helped in developing the concepts for each installment.
The name of the cartoon comes from a location on campus where students often meet during lunch or in between classes. The subject matter was closely tied with school events and related shenanigans. I initially worked primary with traditional media (pencil), but by the end I was integrating with digital.
