When I started my first blog, “The Rapport,” in August of 2010 I really had no idea what I was doing. I was in college at the time, and one evening of boredom led to the creation of an account on Blogger. That first night was drawn long and sleepless by a sudden, indomitable inspiration to write. The following morning in class my fingers were itching to get back to this newfound obsession. I blogged intermittently for several years, caught between topics of angst-ridden romantic prose, reflections on faith, and the utter none-sense spawned only in college dormitories.
In the years to follow graduation, blogging fell by the wayside. I launched a portfolio-website for my prospective career in freelance graphic design and illustration. I trudged through research and hands-on tinkering concerning the right web host, the right platform, the right templates, and the right content for the right price. But before long, as before, I would lose motivation. For all the time and effort I was putting into my website, I was getting very little back.
Years yet further along, my interests in freelance fading and my focus slowly realigned to ministry and career choices far from my original intention, I’m back again. My website, “ReidAPeterson.com,” has evolved back to its humble beginnings: a blog. This time, however, my passions are tempered with age and experience. My vision is more heavenly minded, and my goals more concise and respectable.
I truly believe that writing and storytelling are powerful tools to share the truth of Jesus Christ with the world. My hope is that this site, this blog, would truly be the intersect of faith, ministry and creativity.
